**UPDATE 01/20/2025**
Dr. Cooney is pleased to inform you that he has secured a new position and will start practicing dentistry again on February 16, 2026. His new practice location, a convenient 5 mile drive from the intersection of Hwy 44 and Hwy 270, will be:
Rock Hill Dentistry
9601 Manchester Road
St. Louis, MO 63119
9601 Manchester Road
St. Louis, MO 63119
Other than a new location and some new faces, patients who wish to continue their care with Dr. Cooney at Rock Hill Dentistry can expect to receive the same attention and care as has always been offered. Appointment scheduling at the new office is slated to begin on February 4, 2026 at which time the Fenton office phone will be forwarded to the new office. Please make sure that, when scheduling an appointment at the new location, you mention that you are a patient of Dr. Cooney's from Fenton so that appropriate information can be given regarding any treatment needs or check-up schedules. If you will be following Dr. Cooney, your records will automatically be transferred to the new office once you have scheduled there. However, you will be required to update your paperwork upon your first visit.
One final note. Dr. Cooney will be the only general dentist at this office even though internet and other sources may state information to the contrary. Even though the office in Fenton is shut down, Dr Cooney still intends to make sure that you are taken care of, should you choose to continue care with him.
If you do not wish to make the transition, please read the following in its entirety for important information.
Dental Emergencies
Dr. Cooney will either see you at his new location for your emergency or will help you make arrangements to be seen. However, if you do no wish to see Dr. Cooney at Rock Hill Dentistry, we strongly suggest that you visit a dental urgent care in your area or call your insurance company to find a new dentist.
Patients with Procedures Started but not Finished
Any patients with temporary crowns or bridges in place who have a definitive crown or bridge being fabricated at the lab will be seen for cemenation of the prosthetic. We will be contacting you very soon to schedule a time for this to occur.
For patients who have temporary crowns and bridges that have not yet been sent to the lab for fabrication, we will help you make arrangements to be seen by a new dentist for the completion of this care. If you’d like to expedite this process, you can visit your insurance company’s website and choose the new in-network provider of your choice. We will work hard to transfer x-rays and the like to your new provider as quickly as possible.
Any patient who has a temporary filling awaiting root canal therapy, we can make recommendations for you to see an endodontist to complete your therapy or you can visit your insurance company’s website and search for in-network endodontists.
Records Transfers
Our office will maintain patient records according to state law and will be creating a section of our website to place requests for records. Please click here and submit the Records Request Form. Please know that all requests must be made by authorized individuals. All fees will be waived for this service.
Balances owed and refunds due
For patients with a balance on the account, we will still be sending statements to you. These statements represent money owed for services rendered. We respectfully ask that you send in payments in a timely manner. You may send payments via check to the office address, 30 Fenton Plaza Fenton, MO 63026. If you wish to make a payment via credit card, please call the office to make arrangements.

If you feel that you have a credit with our office and do not receive a refund within that time, you may contact the office in writing and make a request.
Communication with the Office:
Given the closure of the office and the necessity behind it, our ability to answer phones will be greatly limited. With the volume of phone calls that we are receiving, please leave only one message and we will get back with you as soon as we can in between home duties. If you are wanting to make a records request. PLEASE use the form linked to above as this will GREATLY expedite the process. It is our goal to make sure that everyone has access to their records and has all of their questions answered. Your understanding is appreciated during this difficult transition.
Right now, as of February 4, 2026 the office phone number will be forwarded to Dr. Cooney's new office. If you have issues after this time, you can leave a message for him there. We intend to keep our current phone number for several months while everyone who wishes makes the switch.
We have enjoyed everyone’s company over the years. We wish each and every one of you the best with your care and your lives!
-Dr. Cooney, Erin, Joan (Mom) and Patrick (Dad)
